Do you Want to be a leader?

The Management Science Students Association today  held a workshop dubbed "Survival Skills in Employment".The aim of the workshop was to equip students with skills that are relevant in the job market.Madam Rachel Gathoni,the K.C.B. Foundation Manager gave an insightful presentation on leadership skills.She emphasised on leadership that produces results.Some of the key traits that a leader should posses include:

• Knowledge in their field of expertise
• A vision and a goal.
• Integrity
• Assertiveness and Flexibility
• Effective communication skills
• Emotional Intelligence
• Be value adders
• Delegate tasks and responsibilities
• Leading by example
• Giving objective feedback
• Good listening skills.

The students were encouraged to believe in themselves and continually work hard  in order to achieve their career aspirations.
