Kenyatta University annual testing week has come to an end with a high turnout of students going for the test(s) at the main campus.
According to the Kenyatta University HIV/AIDS Control Unit (ACU) coordinator Nelima Edith, the high number has been achieved through the students own will and also through associate clubs within the campus.
“Since inception, we have been having few students coming for the test, but this time round the number has overwhelmed us”. She said
This year’s testing week came to an end with a number of students commending the University for its role in fighting the HIV/AIDS scourge.
Kenyatta University HIV/AIDS Control Unit (ACU) is one of the major interventions developed as a response to the HIV/AIDS pandemic in the institution. The K.U Aids Control Unit falls under the ACU of the Ministry of Education through the Commission for Higher Education’s ACU, which coordinate ACU activities among the universities.
