Can Love Cross Boundaries?

How bad can it get? So good a question to ask, but what if answered:
How good can you make it? It feels better that way. We ever wonder, and we always are trying to figure out, What is love? Really?
I get inspired when I try to answer this question; Yes, LOVE is a feeling, from the simplest definition, but then that does not tie up what it really is! Just like; a human being’s existence dwelled entirely on God’s feelings; that the world needed a being that would take care of it; so does the existence of love! “Love exists as a personality” When one is loving, he/she automatically accepts a second personality in his/her life; and so when I am in love, I, Ralph Pius Okado exists as the Ralph person that God created and simultaneously, as the Ralph person that Love inflicted. When two people come to love, it means that they entirely share the love personality, i.e. the love person that one is, completely matches (is the same) with what the other person is. And this is what really defines TRUE LOVE; that in our dual world, I feel the same way you do. This means, a love relationship involves three personalities: The two lovers and the combined love personalities of them. If this is the case in your relationship, then you two have what we always wish for; True love. The other case happens when one of the two parties is left to entirely carry the love personality alone; fine, there still are three personalities but only one partner has the love inflicted personality; this is never love, and in most cases, it is infatuation. Unfortunately, the affected never realizes till its too late and it thus leaves one a scar on the heart!  Another deviation is usually when two people with two different love personalities mistakenly get together: This is a relationship with four personalities. It at first sight looks like True love, since it also originates from the same passionate feelings for the other, but as time goes, the two love personalities begin separating, (usually evidenced by unending misunderstandings, suspicions, open and calculated lies, and  mistrusts ). The good thing with it is that; this relationship can be tamed into true love; only if the individuals get serious with what they feel, and narrow their different love personalities into a single love personality! They always get a reason to stay together! I believe there is no love where there only is two personalities, it will never happen unless in infancy! Also, remember, Love is stupid and queer; for, “A Dog in Love, Smiles to A Playing Cat” Seize it before you Exercise it; it can make you Trip!

K.U CULTURAL NAMINGS

Naming as a system is elaborate in in traditional African societies as a cultural norm. The different modes of naming ranges from people' s names, places, activities,
events, things such as mountains, forests and others.
Besides being an institution of higher learning,Kenyatta university is broadly a social and cultural center. This is evident as stractures and places in KU are given names that include norminal reincanation, positive names, historical names among others.
Among the most pronounced stractures and places include The Moi library, the popular Nyayo hostels,Olemoiyoi  lecturer halls, the Bishop square,Cassandria walk,Ngong" hostel,Kilimambogo hostel,Longonot hostel name them.
The above names carry various cultural meanings. This is to incalcate morality in society to enable people have positive impact toward their leaders, environment conservation, honnor of prominent people and those who have contributed greatly towards the being of K.U.
firstly, the names acquired through moral integrity of key personalities and contributers towards ku"achievents. Here are names like Moi library named after the immediate former president of Kenya-Daniel Arab Moi.Other names carry historical information, the Nyayo hostels were brought up during the Nyayo era.The 8-4-4 Brock acts as a reminder of the beginning of the current education system in Kenya.
Other strructurers are named after important things seen to be culturerly sacred and a source of crucial resources to people. Here we have ngong"i hostel named aftrer ngong" Hills,Longonot hostel named after mount Longonot in Naivasha,Kilimambogo hostel named after Mount kilimambogo in Thika.
This shows that Kenyatta university as an African community has beliefs in african culturer.Thi s is so because these places-mountains and forests and are a source of live-water.
Besides other reasons therefore,Kenyatta university has every reason to have its culture week annually as itself-k.u is all about culture.

Survival Tips for Freshmen in KU.(PART 1)

 bY
Lifestyle correspondent(lifestyle@kampusmonie.com)

I believe by now you're begin to feel how it is to be in campus. Is it an Awful or cool experience for you? Are you enjoying every moment? Have made new friends? Or perhaps you’re disturbed over your ochaz girlie fie? Well, Just “weka shida chini”, freshen your mind and prepare to go through this, so humourously written but very important and serious article. It might just be everything you need to reach the race touch line and put behind your back the four-six years ahead of you.
It’s just so simple, but carries an unfair demand for sober mind, hard-but-humane heart and a fighting spirit that continues to urge you to fight on, even with strays of bullets on your chest. Yah, it can get that tough as years go by but you have no reason to whine before the journey starts, before the ball rolls off.
Its no time to regret dear friend. I believe some of you have gone through a hell they never expected on their first day in campus. Were you told there is a course known as sexiology offered here? Maybe you lost your virginity..(Understatement...Dignity) to that 2nd year dude/chick from your estate/ochaz?. Get it from me then there is no such a degree in the university catalogue. Likewise there no lectures that take place in student/lecturers or hotel rooms. We have a rule here known as 10 to 10 that is supposed to protect you. Am just guessing that the next thing you plan to do is to report the matter to the authority. If it’s the case, be advised then that this will gain you nothing. The most logical thing is you learn the hard way and move on with life. You’re even lucky you didn’t have HELB loan for God knows what would have happened.
I can bet my last coin there guys among you who are finding it hard to spend the whole day here, no lectures and you’re yet to make friends. The few who has the means, mostly are finding solace in numerous trips to town. BUT HOLD ON for a moment and read this! There is somewhere inside KU where many senior students are waiting to share their time with you. To chat, play and even do other sort of things that you will definitely enjoy.
Today, find time and walk your way to SZ39 at around 7.00 pm. You will find them there under the umbrella of Kenyatta university Christian union(KUCU). They’ll be ready to answer anything that you will need to know.
Let me remind you early enough that lectures are the most important thing as far as KU is concerned. Truancy is the worst form of indiscipline and will only prompt you to cheat in exams. Cheating in exams attracts expulsion from campus and you will not be given a chance to explain yourself...........

Pop in for part two tomorrow
